Bangert Verlag was founded 1985 as a publishing label for modern design in Munich.
Bangert Verlag has, among other things, brought out the German edition of the International Design Yearbook since 1988, as well as signal books by and on David Carson, Tomato, John Maeda, Neville Brody, Philippe Starck, Gaetano Pesce, Ettore Sottsass, Ron Arad, Andrée Putmann, Italian Furniture Design, ColaniThe Art of Shaping the Future etc.

Bangert Verlag has won countless prizes for publications and concepts for museum exhibitions, including awards from the Art Directors Club, Red Dot Awards, iF Industrie Forum Design Awards and the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany in Gold.
Dr. Albrecht Bangert is active in the design community as publisher, author and exhibition curator.
